Posture Paradise: A Fitness Influencer's Tale of Transformation
Dive into a transformative episode of SheCentre: The Female Podcast as we journey with Cissy Nansera, a fitness influencer specializing in yoga and posture correction, hailing from Kampala, Uganda, and currently residing in Oslo, Norway. As the CEO of Nansera Wellness, Cissy unveils her inspiring odyssey.
From her formative years grappling with the challenges of separated parents to the struggles of an identity crisis during her young adult phase, Cissy shares her battles against conformity and the pursuit of attention. Determined to find herself, she delves into various paths, including a stint as a model that brought familiar feelings of inadequacy. With her mother's guidance, she made the courageous decision to step away.
Post-university, Cissy thought she had achieved societal success, complete with a boyfriend, a wine-related job, and material possessions. However, a life-altering car accident shifted her perspective, highlighting the insignificance of materialism. Rock bottom became the platform for her discovery of yoga, leading her to India for a profound exploration of her newfound passion and a commitment to helping others through physical and emotional healing.
Facing the challenges of the pandemic in Mauritius, Cissy realized her calling went beyond being a yoga teacher. Returning home, she ventured into the business of selling yoga mats, concurrently exploring online dating. Despite initial resistance, she developed a friendship that blossomed into a deep connection with her current boyfriend during her summer travels. Taking a leap of faith, she relocated to Norway for love and a new job opportunity. She now runs an online Posture Paradise studio.
Join us in unraveling the layers of Cissy's compelling narrative, delving into the challenges of living in a foreign country, grappling with language barriers, cultural shock, and navigating the dynamics of influencer partnerships.
